    FAQs

Thermal swimwear is designed to help babies and toddlers stay warmer and more comfortable in and around the water. Products such as Thermaswim™ suits and Eskeez™ thermal tops use insulating fabrics to provide extra warmth during swimming lessons, family swims, beach days and outdoor adventures.

Yes. Many thermal garments, including Thermaswim™ and Eskeez™ products, are designed for both wet and dry environments. They can be worn as thermal base layers under everyday clothing on colder days, making them a versatile choice all year round.

No. Thermaswim™ and Eskeez™ products do not include built-in Happy Nappy™ technology. If your child is attending Water Babies lessons, they will need to wear the approved nappy system underneath.

Thermal swimwear does not replace the Water Babies double-layer nappy system. If your child is attending Water Babies lessons, they should wear a referably reusable inner layer and an approved outer layer such as a Happy Nappy™ or Jammers™, or a Duo™, which has both layers built in. This requirement applies regardless of potty-training status.

No. Thermal suits and base layers are designed to provide warmth on their own and do not require an additional wetsuit beneath them. Simply choose the thermal product that best suits your child's needs and follow any swim nappy requirements where relevant.

Not always. Some thermal products, including Thermaswim™ suits, are not recommended for use in hydropools or pools heated above 32°C due to the risk of overheating. Always check the product description for any specific usage guidance before swimming.
