    FAQs

Yes. Water Babies lessons take place in warm pools heated to at least 29°C, but some babies and toddlers can still feel the cold more than others. A wetsuit provides an extra layer of warmth and comfort, helping sensitive swimmers stay happy and focused during lessons, longer swim sessions and family swims in cooler pools.

Each style offers warmth in a slightly different way. Baby Wraps are a popular option for younger babies, Warm in One™ wetsuits provide full-body thermal coverage, and Happy Nappy™ Wetsuits combine a wetsuit with built-in Happy Nappy™ technology for added convenience during lessons.

The Happy Nappy™ Wetsuit includes integrated Happy Nappy™ technology. For Water Babies lessons, you'll only need to add an approved inner layer underneath, ideally an approved reusable swim nappy. Always check the individual product description for details on built-in leak protection.

No. Wetsuits without built-in Happy Nappy™ technology, such as the Warm in One™, Baby Wrap and many standard wetsuits, must be worn over the approved Water Babies double-layer nappy system for their Water Babies lessons. This consists of an ideally reusable inner layer plus an approved outer layer such as a Happy Nappy™ or Happy Nappy Jammers™, or a Duo™, which has both layers built in.

Yes. Wetsuits are a great choice for holiday pools, which are often cooler than those used for swimming lessons. Many styles also offer UV 50+ protection to help protect delicate skin during outdoor water play.

A wetsuit should fit snugly against the body without restricting movement. A close fit helps retain warmth more effectively while ensuring your child remains comfortable and free to enjoy the water.
