What's inside
"The DUO range incorporates a biocidal product (silver (nano): CAS No. 7440-22-4) into the fabric of the lining. Silver is included as biocide to enhance the anti-bacterial action of pool water chlorine on faecal bacteria."
Introducing our newest baby swimwear collection, "Lighthouse Lagoon." Inspired by the magical coastline of Lighthouse Lagoon, and home to Saffi, our Water Safety Officer and brave member of the Swimvincibles, this vibrant print features red and white lighthouses beaming with pride over an array of boats of red and orange sails, reliable anchors, and playful schools of red fishies. All set against a calming sky blue background, with bright orange cuffs adding a splash of fun and extra visibility!
The Happy Nappy DUO is the most advanced reusable swim nappy in the world, and the only nappy system you will ever need for your Water Babies swim class, as it's a double nappy in one! Ditch the disposables with our exclusive Lighthouse Lagoon Happy Nappy DUO™.
The classically form fitting and leak proof outer layer is still the Happy Nappy you know and love, effectively preventing solid leaks into the pool, but inside there is a highly technical active silver inner layer, which is scientifically proven to kill pathogens that cause tummy bugs and sickness -like Cryptosporidium, E.coli and other viruses including COVID 19-, killing these bugs inside the nappy before they can enter the water. Making the pool safer for your baby and for other swimmers too. 🐳
Working with one of the world’s leading virologists and 4 years in development, the silver lining inner layer is extremely gentle on babies skin, but highly effective in destroying pathogens that can be found in faecal matter.
But that’s not all. Because the Happy Nappy DUO has been approved as a Double Nappy System, which means you no longer need to buy disposable swim nappies to wear under the Happy Nappy, saving money and saving the planet by not contributing to millions of tons of disposable nappy waste per year, which can take up to 500 years to break down in landfill!
How it works
The outer part of the Floating Forest Happy Nappy remains the same, waterproof with snug fitting leg and waist bands. These are constructed from specialist grade Lycra that won't lose its elasticity. To fit comfortably there shouldn't be any gaping. The body of the Happy Nappy is made from 1mm thick neoprene and recycled polyester.
Solid matter is kept contained using the waist and thigh ribs of the Happy Nappy while the silver in the under nappy helps to kill any harmful bacteria, viruses and pathogens. The inner nappy is constructed to also be waterproof, with specialist patented silver materials embedded.
This ensures that any liquids leaving the nappy must pass through the silver material, allowing it to kill any pathogens as it does so. Tip any solids down the toilet and wash the nappy in your washing machine. Compostable and/or biodegradable liners can be used in conjunction with the Happy Nappy DUO to make the removal of solids even easier.
Tag along with Saffi to sail across Oceans of Imagination with our new Lighthouse Lagoon collection, and bring a world of maritime wonder to your little one's swimwear wardrobe! Matching Lighthouse Lagoon Warm in One and Baby Wrap available to wear during your Water Babies lessons, in leisure centres, at the beach, in paddling pools and so many places!
Looking after your Happy Nappy DUO
1. Rinse the Happy Nappy in cold water and store it in a wet bag until you are back home. If you want to keep swimming then simply rinse the silver lining, and your little one can put it back on.
2. If there's been a 'code brown', simply turn out the inner liner and empty any solids into the toilet. You can use biodegradable or cloth liners for easier changing and to help protect the nappy.
3. If needed, once back home you can also chuck the nappy in the washing machine with the rest of your laundry, using a 30º cycle and non-bio detergent. Avoid using softener and try to wash full loads.
4. To dry, simply make sure the inner liner is pulled out, as that makes it easier to dry all the way through. Another drying method is to roll them in a towel and lay them flat to dry, always away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry or iron your DUO.
